CCTV Installation in West Sussex & the South East

Professional CCTV systems for homes and businesses. Hikvision HD cameras with AI-powered AcuSense detection, ColorVu full-colour night vision and remote smartphone monitoring. Designed, installed and maintained by NICEIC approved engineers.

Who is CCTV installation for?

Whether you need a single camera covering your front door or a multi-site commercial system, we design solutions matched to your property and risk profile.

Homeowners

Protect your family, property and vehicles with HD cameras covering driveways, entrances and gardens. AI-powered detection filters out animals and vehicles so you only get alerts that matter. View live footage from your phone, anywhere.

Commercial & retail

Reduce theft, monitor staff areas and protect stock with multi-camera systems. AI line-crossing detection, people counting and licence plate recognition help you run a safer, smarter operation. Evidence-grade footage for insurance and disputes.

Public sector & housing

We work with local authorities and housing associations to install CCTV across communal areas, car parks and building entrances. Systems designed for compliance, deterrence and evidential quality.

What is included in a CCTV installation?

Every system we install is designed around your property. Here is what you get as standard.

  • Hikvision HD turret or bullet cameras (2MP, 4MP or 4K options)
  • AcuSense AI-powered smart detection — distinguishes people and vehicles from animals and shadows
  • ColorVu full-colour night vision — clear colour footage even in total darkness
  • NVR (Network Video Recorder) with local storage and remote access
  • Hik-Connect app for live viewing, playback and alerts on your smartphone
  • Weatherproof IP67-rated cameras for outdoor use
  • PoE (Power over Ethernet) cabling — one cable for power and data
  • Professional cable management and containment
  • Full commissioning, setup and handover with user training

Integrate CCTV with your alarm and access control

We design security systems that work together. CCTV can trigger alarm events, and access control logs can be linked to camera footage for complete visibility.

Our CCTV installation process

1

Free site survey

We visit your property, assess vulnerable areas, identify camera positions and check cabling routes. We discuss your priorities — deterrence, evidence, monitoring or all three.

2

System design & quote

We recommend the right cameras, NVR and storage capacity for your property. You receive an itemised quote with camera positions marked on a site plan. No hidden costs.

3

Professional installation

Our engineers install cameras, run PoE cabling, mount the NVR and configure the network. We use professional containment for a clean, tidy finish. Most home systems are installed in a day.

4

Configuration & setup

We configure AcuSense detection zones, set up push notifications, enable remote access and optimise recording schedules. Every camera is tested and adjusted for the best angle and coverage.

5

Handover & training

We walk you through the Hik-Connect app, show you how to view live footage, play back recordings and manage alerts. Full documentation and warranty details provided.

What affects CCTV installation cost?

Number of cameras

A typical home needs 2–4 cameras. Commercial properties may need 8–16+. More cameras mean more cabling, storage and NVR capacity.

Camera resolution

2MP cameras are cost-effective for general coverage. 4MP offers sharper detail. 4K (8MP) provides the best evidence quality for identification at distance.

AI features

AcuSense smart detection costs more than basic motion detection but dramatically reduces false alerts. It distinguishes people and vehicles from animals and shadows.

Night vision type

Standard IR cameras produce black-and-white footage at night. ColorVu cameras deliver full-colour night vision — better for identification and evidence.

Cable run distance

Longer cable runs between cameras and the NVR increase material and labour costs. External runs may need weatherproof containment or underground ducting.

Storage & recording

More cameras and higher resolution require larger hard drives. We typically specify 30 days of continuous recording. Extended retention or cloud backup adds cost.

Home CCTV: typically £500 – £2,000  |  Commercial: £2,000 – £10,000+

Exact pricing depends on camera count, resolution and site complexity. We provide a detailed quote after your free survey.

Common CCTV installation mistakes

1.

Choosing the cheapest cameras

Budget cameras produce grainy footage that is useless for identification. When you need evidence for the police or an insurance claim, resolution matters. We specify cameras that deliver clear, usable footage day and night.

2.

Poor camera positioning

A camera pointing at the sky or too far from the target area captures nothing useful. We survey your property and position every camera for maximum coverage, correct angle and optimal focal length.

3.

Ignoring night vision quality

Standard IR cameras produce black-and-white footage at night — making it impossible to identify clothing colours or vehicle details. ColorVu cameras deliver full-colour footage even in complete darkness.

4.

No smart detection

Basic motion detection triggers alerts for every passing cat, swaying branch and headlight reflection. AcuSense AI filters out false alarms so you only get notified when a person or vehicle is detected.

5.

DIY installation with no compliance

Incorrect installation can breach GDPR, ICO guidelines and neighbour privacy rights. We ensure your system is compliant, cameras are positioned correctly and signage is in place where required.
