Electrical Services in West Sussex & the South East

Full-scope electrical contracting for homes, businesses and public-sector properties. New installations, rewires, consumer unit upgrades, periodic testing and fault finding — all carried out by NICEIC approved engineers to BS 7671 standards.

Who are our electrical services for?

Homeowners

Whether you need a full rewire, consumer unit upgrade, additional sockets or outdoor lighting — we handle all domestic electrical work. Every job is NICEIC certified and compliant with Part P Building Regulations.

Commercial & industrial

Offices, retail units, warehouses and factories need reliable electrical infrastructure. We handle new fit-outs, distribution board upgrades, three-phase installations, emergency lighting and periodic testing for compliance.

Landlords & property managers

Electrical safety is a legal requirement for rental properties. We carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), remedial work and consumer unit upgrades to keep your properties compliant and your tenants safe.

What electrical services do we provide?

New installations & fit-outs

Complete electrical design and installation for new builds, extensions, conversions and commercial fit-outs. From first fix to final certification.

Full & partial rewires

Replace outdated or unsafe wiring with modern, compliant circuits. We minimise disruption and restore your property to full working order.

Consumer unit upgrades

Replace old fuse boards with modern RCD-protected consumer units. Essential for safety, compliance and supporting additional circuits (EV chargers, solar, etc.).

Periodic inspection & testing (EICR)

Electrical Installation Condition Reports for landlords, businesses and homeowners. We identify faults, non-compliances and potential hazards — with clear remedial recommendations.

Fault finding & emergency repairs

Tripping circuits, flickering lights, burning smells — we diagnose and fix electrical faults quickly and safely. Available for urgent callouts.

Lighting design & installation

Indoor and outdoor lighting for homes and commercial properties. LED upgrades, emergency lighting, garden lighting and architectural feature lighting.

Electrical work supports every other service we offer

Solar panels, EV chargers, security systems and data networks all need solid electrical infrastructure. We handle everything under one roof.

How we work

1

Consultation & assessment

We visit your property, assess the existing electrical installation, discuss your requirements and identify any compliance issues. For EICRs, we carry out a full inspection and testing schedule.

2

Design & quotation

We design the electrical layout, specify materials and provide a clear, itemised quote. For larger projects, we produce circuit schedules and distribution board layouts.

3

Installation

Our NICEIC approved engineers carry out all work to BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations). We work cleanly, communicate progress and minimise disruption to your home or business.

4

Testing & certification

Every installation is fully tested and certified. You receive an Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) or Minor Works Certificate as appropriate. EICRs include a detailed condition report with coding.

5

Handover

We walk you through the completed work, explain your consumer unit, hand over all certificates and answer any questions. Documentation is provided for your records and insurance.

What affects electrical service costs?

Scope of work

A single socket addition is straightforward. A full house rewire involves lifting floorboards, chasing walls and replacing every circuit. The scope determines labour time and material costs.

Property age & condition

Older properties often have outdated wiring, asbestos, lead pipes near cables or non-standard installations that require additional work to bring up to current standards.

Consumer unit specification

A basic consumer unit upgrade is relatively affordable. Dual RCD boards, AFDD protection and surge protection devices add cost but improve safety significantly.

Access & disruption

Easy access to cable routes keeps costs down. Properties with solid walls, concrete floors or limited loft space require more labour for cable routing and containment.

Certification requirements

All notifiable work requires Building Regulations notification and certification. EICRs require a full inspection schedule. Commercial properties may need more extensive testing.

Emergency vs planned

Planned work is more cost-effective. Emergency callouts for fault finding and urgent repairs carry a premium due to response time and out-of-hours availability.

Consumer unit upgrade: from £350  |  EICR: from £150  |  Full rewire: £3,000 – £8,000+

Every property is different. We provide a detailed, itemised quote after assessing your specific requirements.

Common electrical mistakes

1.

Using an unqualified electrician

Electrical work carried out by unqualified individuals is dangerous, non-compliant and often uninsurable. Always use an NICEIC approved contractor who can certify their work and notify Building Control.

2.

Ignoring an old consumer unit

Old fuse boards with rewirable fuses offer no RCD protection. A fault that would trip a modern board could cause a fire or electrocution with an old one. Upgrading your consumer unit is one of the most important safety improvements you can make.

3.

Skipping periodic testing

Electrical installations deteriorate over time. Connections loosen, insulation degrades and circuits become overloaded. Regular EICRs catch problems before they become dangerous. Landlords are legally required to test every 5 years.

4.

Overloading circuits

Adding appliances, EV chargers or electric heating to circuits not designed for the load causes overheating and fire risk. We assess your supply capacity and upgrade circuits where needed.
