Before Work Begins

Deposit Protection

Where applicable, eligible customers may receive an IWA Deposit Protection Certificate at the point of paying a deposit.

This protects eligible deposits before installation work begins, subject to the terms and conditions of the policy. The scheme can protect deposits up to 25% of the contract value where the relevant protection certificate has been issued.

Cover is subject to IWA scheme terms and conditions. A written contract for the full works must be in place and the relevant certificate must be issued for protection to apply.

After Work is Complete

Insurance Backed Workmanship Guarantees

Upon successful completion of qualifying work and subject to policy terms, eligible customers may receive an IWA Insurance Backed Guarantee.

This provides additional reassurance that workmanship guarantees remain protected even if the original installer is no longer trading. According to IWA, qualifying guarantees can be insured for periods of up to 10 years.

Cover commences once the contract is completed to the customer's satisfaction and the balance is paid in full. Subject to IWA scheme terms and conditions.
