CCTV Care: annual maintenance and remote health checks
A live camera picture does not prove useful footage is being recorded and kept. CCTV Care is Omni3's scheduled CCTV maintenance for systems of up to 4, 8, 16 and 32 cameras.

What CCTV Care is, and who it suits
CCTV Care is our scheduled maintenance and remote support package for CCTV. It suits homes and businesses with an installed system who want it checked and looked after.
Live picture is not the same as recorded footage
You can see a camera on your phone and still have no usable recording. Recording can stop, drives can fill or fail, the clock can drift so footage is hard to use, and lenses can get dirty or move.
CCTV Care checks recorder, storage and camera status, then image, recording and playback, then remote access.
These checks help catch problems. They cannot guarantee that every fault is found or that footage can always be recovered.
Why we offer care after installation
CCTV systems are generally low-maintenance, not maintenance-free. Equipment ages, settings change and problems often go unnoticed until footage is needed. A planned annual visit and a remote check six months later give you regular, reported checks.

What is included in every tier
- One annual on-site maintenance visit
- One remote health check approximately six months later
- Recorder, storage and camera-status checks
- Image, recording and playback checks
- Remote-access checks
- Normal-hours support and service reports
The on-site visit and the remote health check are both scheduled. They are not continuous monitoring. Normal support hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, excluding bank holidays; these are support hours, not a guaranteed attendance time.
Remote work and on-site work, kept distinct
Remote health check
One remote check approximately six months after the annual visit: recorder, storage, camera status, images, recording, playback and remote access. Normal-hours support is also included.
On-site maintenance visit
One annual visit: the same checks on site, plus routine inspection and cleaning of cameras that can be reached safely without specialist access equipment.
Separate work, quoted separately
Parts, hard drives, repairs, specialist access equipment, work at height, extensive cleaning and out-of-hours attendance.
What is excluded or quoted separately
- Parts, hard drives and repairs
- Specialist access equipment and work at height
- Extensive cleaning
- Out-of-hours attendance
If a check finds something that needs fixing, we tell you in the service report and quote the work separately.
Internet and secure remote access
Remote health checks need a suitable internet connection and remote access that is set up securely, with your authorisation. If the connection is down or remote access is not available, the remote check cannot take place and a visit may be needed.
We assess your remote-access arrangements before accepting cover. We do not ask you to weaken your router or network security, and we do not promise compatibility with every system.
Equipment eligibility
Tell us the make and model of your recorder and cameras and how many cameras you have, or say you are not sure. We assess eligibility before accepting cover.
Terms
Prices are annual. Payment, cancellation and renewal arrangements are subject to the written quotation and agreement.

CCTV Care: common questions
If I can see my cameras live, is my CCTV recording?
Not necessarily. A live picture does not prove that footage is being recorded and kept. Recording can stop because of a storage fault, a settings change or a full or failed drive. That is why CCTV Care checks recorder, storage, recording and playback.
Does CCTV Care mean someone is watching my cameras?
No. CCTV Care is scheduled maintenance. It does not include continuous live surveillance or anyone watching your images.
Are the remote checks continuous?
No. They are scheduled: one on-site maintenance visit each year and one remote health check approximately six months later.
Will CCTV Care find every fault or guarantee I can recover footage?
No. Checks help catch problems, but we cannot guarantee every fault is found or that footage can always be recovered.
Is there 24/7 support?
No. Normal support hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, excluding bank holidays. These are support hours, not a guaranteed attendance time. Out-of-hours attendance is excluded and quoted separately.
Will you clean all my cameras?
We carry out routine inspection and cleaning of cameras that can be reached safely without specialist access equipment. Extensive cleaning, work at height and specialist access equipment are excluded and quoted separately.
Do I need an internet connection?
Remote health checks need a suitable internet connection and remote access set up securely, with your authorisation. We assess your arrangements before accepting cover. We do not ask you to weaken your router or network security, and we cannot promise compatibility with every system.
What if I have more than 32 cameras?
Larger systems are individually quoted after we understand the system.
What are the payment, cancellation and renewal terms?
The written quotation and agreement set out the applicable terms, including payment, cancellation and renewal.
