How long does a solar panel installation take?

A typical residential installation takes 1–2 days. Commercial projects vary depending on system size, but most are completed within 5–10 working days. The full process from initial consultation to commissioning is around 10 working days.

Is Omni3 MCS certified?

Yes. Omni3 Limited is MCS certified for the installation of Solar PV systems under MIS 3002 and Electrical Energy (Battery) Storage Systems under MIS 3012. Our certification commenced on 25 August 2026 through NICEIC/Certsure LLP. For eligible installations within our certified scope, Omni3 registers the system on the MCS Installation Database and provides the customer with its MCS certificate and relevant handover documentation. Omni3 is also an RECC member and an NICEIC Approved Contractor.

Will my solar installation qualify for Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) payments?

Yes—provided your system meets the Smart Export Guarantee rules and your chosen SEG supplier's eligibility requirements. Omni3 Limited is MCS certified for Solar PV installation under MIS 3002. For eligible installations within our certified scope, we register the system on the MCS Installation Database and provide the MCS certificate and relevant handover documentation.

You will need to apply directly to a participating SEG supplier and normally have a meter capable of providing half-hourly export readings, such as a suitable smart meter. Your chosen supplier will determine your final eligibility, tariff rate and payment terms. We will explain the process and provide the installation documents you need, but MCS certification does not guarantee acceptance by a particular supplier or a specific payment rate.

Are your engineers qualified?

Yes. Omni3 Limited is an NICEIC Approved Contractor and an MCS certified contractor for Solar PV and Battery Storage. Our work is carried out by appropriately qualified and competent engineers, with City & Guilds qualifications covering electrical installation, EV charging, Solar PV and battery storage. Omni3 also operates four independently certified management systems: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and ISO 45001.

Do you offer financing options?

Yes — we have partnered with Ideal 4 Finance to offer flexible payment plans for customers who prefer not to pay upfront. Ask us for details during your consultation.

What areas do you cover?

We currently serve the South East UK, with our base in Pulborough, West Sussex. We are expanding to cover the whole of the UK within the next few years.

What battery storage brands do you install?

Omni3 specialises in EcoFlow, Sigenergy and SolaX battery storage systems. Each brand suits a different type of property and usage pattern. EcoFlow is ideal for smart modular home storage, Sigenergy is a premium all-in-one energy system with strong EV integration, and SolaX is a reliable hybrid solar and battery storage option. We recommend the right system after reviewing your property, energy usage, tariff and future plans.

Do I need planning permission for solar panels?

Most residential solar installations fall under permitted development and do not require planning permission. However, there are exceptions for listed buildings, conservation areas and certain roof types. We will advise you during the survey.

Can you install an EV charger at my workplace?

Yes. We design and install commercial EV charging solutions from single units to multi-bay installations with load management. We can also help with OZEV grant applications where eligible.

What is an energy audit?

An energy audit is a detailed assessment of your property's energy consumption. We identify where energy is being wasted and provide a tailored plan with clear recommendations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

Do you provide ongoing maintenance?

Yes. We offer maintenance plans for all our installations — solar, security, data networks and telecoms. Regular maintenance ensures your systems perform optimally and extends their lifespan.

What makes Omni3 different from other contractors?

Omni3 brings seven complementary service disciplines together under one accountable team: Solar PV and Battery Storage, EV charging, electrical contracting, security systems, data networks, telecommunications, and energy audits and smart-energy solutions. This allows us to consider the whole property rather than treating each technology in isolation.

Omni3 Limited is MCS certified for Solar PV and Battery Storage, an NICEIC Approved Contractor, an ECA Registered Member and a RECC member. Our other recognised credentials include TrustMark registration, CAI membership, IWA Approved Installer status, OZEV authorisation and four independently certified ISO management systems.

Most importantly, our approach is straightforward: clear advice, properly designed installations, compliant workmanship and complete documentation. We remain accountable from the initial survey through to installation, certification, handover and ongoing support—with no high-pressure sales.
