Pulled fibre installation
Fibre cable is pulled through ducting, containment or directly routed between buildings or across a site. Suitable for most inter-building and backbone infrastructure projects.
Fusion splicing
Fibre cables are joined or terminated using fusion splicing — the industry standard method for low-loss, permanent fibre connections. Omni3 carries out fusion splicing in-house.
Single-mode fibre
Single-mode fibre carries light on a single pathway, supporting very high bandwidth over long distances. Used for longer inter-building links and high-performance backbone infrastructure.
Multimode fibre
Multimode fibre supports high bandwidth over shorter distances and is well suited for within-building backbone links and campus networks where runs are typically under 300 metres.
Fibre termination
Fibre cables are terminated into appropriate patch panels, enclosures and breakout boxes. Neat, labelled termination makes the infrastructure maintainable and expandable.
Testing and certification
Completed fibre links are tested and certified using professional fibre test equipment, with test results provided where required. Testing confirms the performance of the installed link and supports any system guarantee.
15-year system guarantee
Most qualifying fibre installations that are fully tested and certified can be supplied with a 15-year system guarantee. Eligibility depends on the system specification, components used and certification requirements. We confirm guarantee eligibility as part of the quotation.
