Consumer Unit Replacement
£600 – £950 + VATSurge protection devices (SPDs) are recommended and add approximately £80–£150 + VAT.
Replacing an existing fuse board or consumer unit with a modern unit. Includes reconnecting all existing circuits, issuing an Electrical Installation Certificate and notifying Building Control.
Factors that affect the price

- ·Whether AFDD (arc-fault detection) or surge protection is specified
- ·RCBO board versus dual-RCD board
- ·Condition and age of existing wiring

Typically excluded

EICR — Electrical Installation Condition Report
£180 – £350 + VAT (residential) · £350 – £1,200+ + VAT (commercial)Residential figure applies to a standard two- or three-bedroom property. Commercial pricing depends on the number of circuits, distribution boards and test requirements.
Periodic inspection and testing of an existing fixed electrical installation. Results in a formal report classifying any observations. Does not include remedial work.

New Circuit or Additional Sockets
£150 – £400 + VAT per circuitApplies to a straightforward addition with accessible cable routes. Solid walls, long runs or complex containment requirements increase the price.
Adding a new circuit from the consumer unit, or extending an existing circuit. Includes cable, any necessary containment and an Electrical Installation Certificate where required.

Partial Rewire
£1,200 – £3,500 + VATCovers a single floor, kitchen or extension in a standard property with reasonable access.
Rewiring a single floor, a kitchen, an extension or a defined section of a property. Includes all replacement cable, accessories and certification for the rewired section.

Full House Rewire
£3,500 – £9,000 + VATTwo-bedroom property at the lower end; five-bedroom detached home at the upper end. Solid-wall construction and limited access increase the cost.
Complete replacement of all fixed wiring throughout a property, new consumer unit, accessories and certification. Typically carried out with the property unoccupied or with managed access by room.

EV Charger Installation
£700 – £1,500 + VATDomestic smart charger supplied and installed, including 40A dedicated circuit, earthing arrangement and commissioning. Commercial multi-point installations are quoted individually.
Supply and installation of a smart domestic or commercial EV charger, including all cabling, earthing arrangements and commissioning.

Commercial Electrical (Small Projects)
£800 – £8,000 + VATCovers straightforward projects such as office fit-outs, lighting upgrades and three-phase connections. Larger or more complex projects are always priced by detailed survey.
Office fit-outs, warehouse lighting upgrades, three-phase supply connections, distribution board replacements and similar scope. Larger projects — HV works, new-build commercial or major distribution upgrades — are always priced by detailed survey.

VAT on electrical work
Standard VAT at 20% applies to most electrical installation work. Reduced rates may apply in limited circumstances — for example, certain energy-saving measures in qualifying residential properties. Omni3 will confirm the applicable VAT rate in your written quotation. All prices on this page are stated exclusive of VAT unless otherwise indicated.
What every Omni3 quotation includes
An Electrical Installation Certificate is provided for new electrical installation work for which Omni3 has undertaken and accepted responsibility for the relevant design, construction, inspection and testing.
